Brad Pitt Confesses to ‘Diabolical’ On-Set Moment That Drove Crew Away

Not every Hollywood star keeps things polished behind the camera. And as it turns out, even Brad Pitt isn’t immune to a little on-set chaos – especially when it involves beans, bacon, and a very bad decision.

Pitt, who’s been slowly re-establishing himself in the film world after a quiet stretch, is now back in the spotlight with F1, his new Formula 1 movie. The film stars him as a retired racer who returns to help train a younger team.

It sounds like a classic redemption story, and while early reviews have been a mixed bag, his name alone tends to guarantee box office interest. But while Pitt was trying to wow audiences on screen, he accidentally cleared out an entire film crew off-screen, for a very different reason.

Appearing on the New Heights podcast, Pitt recounted one particular scene where his commitment to the role went sideways. The setup: a small, packed café, a hot room, and several takes of the same eating scene.

“We’re shooting in this little, tiny café. It’s full of the crew, so there’s about 60 people in there. It’s hot. You can’t breathe,” Pitt said.

His character hadn’t eaten in days, so when a plate of beans and bacon landed in front of him, he dove in, full method.

“I was like, yeah, I’m going to do this right. I just powered down this plate of beans. Take two, do the same thing. Take three, I do the same thing. On four, I do the same thing,” he explained. That’s when things took a turn. “Then oh no. Something hit me.”

That something was, predictably, the beans making their way through his system. Pitt thought he could get away with a silent release.

“There was nothing I could do. I was stuck in this chair, and nature took its course. Then there was nothing. I went, oh, great. I got away with that one,” he recalled, hopefully.

Unfortunately, he hadn’t.

“And then suddenly the entire crew… The most diabolical something… something descended on the crew in the whole room, and they fled the café.”

Yes, Pitt farted so badly the crew had no choice but to evacuate. Maybe not quite what anyone expects to hear when promoting a film about fast cars and high stakes – but memorable, at the very least.

Shiloh began dropping Pitt’s last name in 2023, signaling a quiet but serious rift.

While the story is good for a laugh, Pitt’s personal life has taken on a more serious tone in recent years. Amid legal battles with ex-wife Angelina Jolie, one of the couple’s children has taken a significant step in distancing herself from him. Shiloh, their daughter, recently filed to drop “Pitt” from her name, now going by Shi Jolie.

This wasn’t a last-minute decision. According to reports, she began the legal process in May 2023, soon after turning 18. Her lawyer, Peter Levine, explained the reasoning behind the official notice:

“The media should be more careful in their reporting, especially when covering a young adult who has made an independent and significant decision following painful events, and is merely following legal process.”

He added that California law requires this kind of public notice in all name change filings. So while the news might seem like a dramatic headline, it was simply the next legal step in a process that had already begun quietly months earlier.
