Dylan Dreyer Confirms Separation From Husband Brian Fichera After 12 Years
The Today meteorologist announced their split, saying they’ll continue co-parenting their three sons.

Celebrity breakups are often splashed across headlines, but behind the announcements are real people trying to handle personal changes with grace, especially when kids are involved. Dylan Dreyer, a familiar face to many as a meteorologist and co-anchor on NBC’s Today, recently shared some personal news that reflects just that.
Despite the split, Dreyer and Fichera still share family moments and play golf together.
And it seems that’s exactly what they’re doing. Earlier this month, Dreyer posted photos from their Fourth of July celebration, which the whole family spent together. The outing included a trip to the Macy’s fireworks show, an event Dreyer hosts each year for NBC.
Fichera was there, too, making it clear that their separation hasn’t disrupted their efforts to stay connected as a family. They were also recently seen together at the American Century Championship golf tournament in Lake Tahoe.
Dreyer participated in the celebrity event, and Fichera was right there beside her, serving as her caddy. It was a continuation of one of their favorite shared pastimes.
“Golf is the thing we do together,” Dreyer told Today.com in 2023. “We have a couple of drinks, we laugh.”
It’s a tradition that started back when they were still dating, after Fichera bought her first set of clubs. That easy connection, on and off the course, has always been part of their relationship.

Despite the split, Dreyer and Fichera still care about each other and the family they’ve built. They’re not leaning into drama or shutting each other out. Instead, they’re showing that it’s possible to transition into a different kind of relationship without bitterness or blame.
Life after separation doesn’t have to mean the end of everything that came before. Dreyer’s message was clear, honest, and low on fluff.
She didn’t offer a perfect script or try to spin it as something inspiring – it was just real. And sometimes, that’s what people need most.
